The Devi Bhagavata Purana, also known as the Devi Bhagavatam. The Devi Bhagavad Puran is a Sanskrit text that belongs to the Puran genre of hindu literature. The text consists of 12 skand and 318 chapters. Along with Devi mahatmya it was one of the most important works in shaktism, a tradition within Hinduism that worships Devi or shakti as the primordial creator of the universe and the Brahma.
